The Back River Project is a premier gold development located in the western Kitikmeot region of Nunavut, Canada, approximately 75 kilometres southwest of Bathurst Inlet. Recognized as one of Canada’s most significant undeveloped gold assets, the project is positioned to become a major long-term gold producer in the Arctic.

The development is centered on the Goose Property, supported by the George Property and a marine laydown area at southern Bathurst Inlet, creating an integrated infrastructure network designed to support efficient and sustainable operations. The project is planned to process approximately 6,000 tonnes of ore per day, with forecast average annual gold production of approximately 346,000 ounces.

With its substantial mineral resources, strong production profile, and long-term growth potential, the Back River Project represents a significant investment in Canada’s mining sector. The project is expected to generate meaningful economic benefits through employment, business opportunities, and infrastructure development while contributing to the continued growth of Nunavut’s resource economy.
